Thank you for your wonderful support of our school in 2009-10!  Of the $42,000 raised through your donations last year, the majority was used for the classrooms, including nine Audio Enhancement Systems.  We hope to buy the last of these systems with the monies raised in the 2010-11 school year.  Less than 5% of your funds were used for PTA administration (like required insurance and tax preparation expenses).   When allocated over the 600 students at Aldrin, the PTA spent $50 per student, including the following:.

Teacher Programs – includes startup funds for each classroom, supplies and teacher appreciation.

Student Programs – includes field trips, assemblies, GRACE Arts, Science Fair, Safety Patrols, classroom parties and assignment books.

Audio Enhancement Systems – These systems enable the teacher to be heard above the normal classroom noise.  These state-of-the-art teaching tools are currently standard equipment for many schools.  During the past two years we have been able to purchase sixteen systems.  This year we would like to purchase seven more so that all students in grade 1-6 will have access to this technology.

Operating Expenses – required insurance, tax return preparation and website.
